We created a whole new category of seating products designed specifically for the needs of collaboration. The i2i chair was designed specifically to foster collaboration and was based on three key research observations that resulted in three key insights:

Collaboration takes time.People don't adjust their chairs in collaborative settings.People change postures frequently when collaborating.Insights:
Chairs should promote movement and be comfortable for long periods of time.Adjustments should be automatic and intuitive.Chairs should support multiple postures.
i2i is a new collaborative seating alternative that is free of adjustments, yet has a flexing back that offers both movement and support. It accommodates a variety of postures so people can remain engaged, focused and connected. i2i enables eye-to-eye and eye-to-information, simply and comfortably.
a) Flexing back: Provides comfort and support for different postures.
b) Dual swivel: The chair’s back and seat swivel independently allowing users respond to the moment while maintaining focus. Swivel the seat and back together, swivel the back only, swivel the seat only.
c) Instant and intuitive adjustments: Our research shows that people don’t adjust chairs in collaborative settings, so i2i was created without adjustments so anyone can get comfortable quickly.
In addition to the features above, the i2i chair has a range of options:
- Chair with tablet arm available
- Two finish colors are available: near black and platinum
- Optional swivel return cylinder
- Optional roller base available
- Available with Steelcase and Designtex fabric, leather, or vinyl as well as COM (customer’s own material), COL (customer’s own leather), COV (customer’s own vinyl).
- 3D Knit material standard on the chair back with matching Cogent: Connect upholstery on seat, or with a seat upholstery of your choice.
